VGExtreme Error

Whenever I run the VGExtreme service with Vanguard running, I get this error:
A startup error occurred.
Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {ADA15C9D-60F3-41A5-8BCC-4D57CB24F451} failed due to the following error: 80040154
I will add that Exhume runs fine. I tested some samples on it and it runs perfect. This means it has be the vge service that is causing me trouble. One thing I have tryed to do to resolve this error is placing exhume.exe in the same folder as vge and trying to run it. No luck :( .

Any help would be gladly appreciated. :D

find the other thread i answered about this.

you can download the script debugger from the xum thread, or try manually registereing the downloaded files.

After you delete your dll, make sure you run vgextreme to d/l it again, not exhume. That's the problem I had, I kept running exhume to d/l a new dll. Actually last time I installed vgextreme, i never installed exhume. All went well w/o a hitch.

It seems that by my using the XUScripts.dll it will give this error if you have never installed Xunleashed. So install xunleashed for now and run it once. I will be movign away from XUScripts.dll as soon as admin adds a API function for me into XUM.

djvj, thanks for the suggestion. I will be sure and try that :)

Update: Xunleashed works fine. It won't work with Vanguard though will it :? I'm just happy to see this working.

No XU doesnt work with vanguard, but some of the DLL's that I used are tied to XUnleashed. That is what was causing the clsid error. Now thaty ou have XU installed, VGE should work now.

Ok so should I put Xunleashed in it's own folder or in the directory where exhume and vge are?

Also, I downloaded xunleashed and am still getting the error, but I don't know if I did it right.

Im getting that CLSID error too, and Im not sure what to do. I can't find that thread you where talking about that has the fix in it. I seem to also get these errors when I run VGExtreme:

Failed to Register ExhumeHelper.dll
Failed to Register XuScripts.dll

But I have Exhume and XUnleashed installed and they work fine.

Im also using XP 64-bit woudl that cause any probs?

those errors are because it cant register the dll files.. the clsid error is because its trying to load one of the dll's that didnt register and hence wont load.

You install each in its own folder, dont put it in the same folder.

Ok I seem to work now that I put Exhume and VGextreme in the same folder, I still get the can't register the DLL's but it seem to work. It loads up and then it loads up exhume.

Ok so I downloaded xunleashed into it's own folder and ran it. Then I started up vanguard and ran vge... still getting the error =/.

I don't know if this would make a difference but I was not able to install MS script 5.6. For some reason it wouldn't let me.

fantasy, but I was not able to install MS script 5.6.. that is your error.

You need to install that program. If you cannot, something is wrong with your version of windows.
