SOE to buyout Vanguard? -Rumour : Vanguard Discussion

Found this rumour while surfing the www.mmorpg.com forums.

"New, current rumor is that SoE will announce next week they've agreed to buy out Vanguard from Sigil based on its declining population, since Sigil cannot afford to continue. Further information is that SoE will merge servers shortly thereafter."

What is everyones reaction to these rumours? Would you be upset if they were to reveiled as true?

It will probably become a little better for the first month or so, but I think it will end up like any other SOE game.. Patches every second month, imbalance etc

I can tell you from an inside source that this is true and will be publicly announced this week.

Well this may be a good thing. The problem with VG was it was released about 3 months early cause they ran out of funding. Now if SOE takes it they will get more money to play around with. Also the original EQ1 dev is apart of VG and im sure he wont let it go to the ground. So there is a good chance that sony will actually help this game. Then again there was the giant SWG fiasco.
