So many friggin' classes to play I can't get to them all. So far, I think I favor the sorcerer - primarily for ranged damage. What would you suggest and why?

best solo i will say Ranger, the ability to kill mobs many level higher than the character.
for most fun, Bard for the speed and levitation and invisibility
for most good looking, warrior or dread knight due to their heavy armor and weapon set. altho expensive
sorcerer is very deadly with their spell damage, but fragile like a glass. many 1 hit kill by named mobs.

why you said Necro? I currently using necro at lvl 31, I don't see it's the best solo class. it's kinda balanced soloer.

The necromancer is the best solo class. Their fear and kiting ability along with their abomination and DoTs make them the most versatile solo class IMO.

Necromancer is the best solo class, especially from lvls 40-50. They are the best farming class, easiest class to get from lvl 1-50. The list just goes on... Necro's are just simply really powerful in terms of soloability.

Necro's so far can solo even up to 6d lots Hegnarian maily because of fear or snare, even on mobs you cant snare they still kite well.
I play a DRK and can pretty much solo any mob up to a 5d my level, i xp on 3-4d my level. For a DRK its all about getting your DC debuff up, stealing str and int + wis. Make sure you always keep your defensive chains up as well and are in def stance.

It also depends on whether you're talking about grinding solo (speedy xp) or the class that just plain refuses to die.
