Fighting On Chunk Lines

Vanguard works such that the map is broken up into chunks, so you load everytime you cross a chunk line. Well, if you aggro a mob and put some dots on it, then cross a chunk line, it will take him about 10 seconds to cross over the chunk, so he will take 10 seconds of damage without touching you, then just cross back over again. Essentially, this means while soloing at chunk lines with dots you should be pretty much untouched.

The way it works for me 9/10 times - is i cast my dots, chunk over, the mob appears about 10 seconds later appearing to have full health. However, as soon as I touch it, it drops down to the amount of health the dot spells inflicted. If you do not touch the mob in the first place, then crossing over chunk lines often sheds all hate and aggro from the mob - which can also be useful in certain situations.

as far as NPC's go, this is a deffinate no. I've seen people die alot by npc's attacking tem while they chunk.

The theory is a sound one though for pvp fights. I love fighting players on chunk lines, my computer costs more than my car, so I can cross those lines faster than most players, this lets me beat on them while they are chunking safely.

So, I guess I'll vote yes on the grounds he was close enough with the idea, he was just wrong with the target you use it on.
