any of you gotten warnings/ban from speedhacking?

as of yet they are not actively looking for people who are speed hacking. its not like their gm's reply fast enough to a petition to catch someone in the act. 2 petitions for me and both an over 24 hour responce. once a lot of bugs are patched and they get through pettions faster because there wont be as many bugs tried to be submitted through /petition you will get more bans coming.

i use it constantly all day at 2.5 speed and no players even say anything to me. Iv pked someone using it and he was suspicious and i just said im playing on a laptop and have 20 FPS. Sometimes people report you but GMs have much more important things to do.

Yeah that was my brother, but to be honest he had it at 10 often as he crossed continents and I think that's what caught Sigil's attention. They CAN track your characters speed on their side, I'm pretty sure of that. Especially because he wasn't banned after or during a playing session but on a day he hadn't even played yet, they must've checked logs (possibly after someone filed a petition).sandwhale wrote:Register to unlock hidden link

As far as I know they're only banning due to player complaints. Half my guild (adds up to 50+ people) is using speedhack at fairly high settings, and nobody's been banned yet.
I'd say your best bets are to:
A. Turn off speedhack when you see another player, as your warping into view is identical to when normal lag causes the same phenomenon.
B. Keep speedhack at a low setting, like 1.5. There's legal methods of getting 1.5 and higher, so it shouldn't raise any player eyebrows.
C. Keep speedhack at high speed, and turn it off in towns. My buddies and I use this method, and it seems to work. At higher settings (like x20 speed), other players won't even see you when you pass by them.

I've been useing it since beta. Usually at 2x. I'll go 5, 10, or 20 to cross the continent, but I do that stealthed, or invis where I shouldn't be seeing anyone.

Using Chromosome I just alt-p to planeshift and run to where I gotta go, then invis and alt-o into view invis. Looks like i just ran into range to be seen if I happen to pop in front of people.

Ive been using it for a very long time and i have never even had a message or warning from a GM, and im not exactly carful in places like Rahz
