Now, I like VGUnleashed and all, but....

I know some people on here at one point played WoW and used WoWGlider. I LOVED how well Glider worked. I think for VG we need a nice standalone bot that has compatibility for all classes like Glider did. One thing I really liked about WoWGlider was that you can set it to run for x amount of minutes, or to play a certain sound when someone sends you a tell or when someone is in your vicinity of x yards for more than y minutes.

The thing I don't really like about VGUnleashed is that its just too weird and complicated to work with. That and there's only a bloodmage and necro one out. I don't want to have to go write my own bot for my class, I want to just download the one bot and be able to use it for any class. It makes it easier if you have multiple characters because then you are familiar with the bot and know how it works.

I know that a program like WoWGlider would take a lot of programming and testing to get fully up and running. I'd pay 20 bucks like I did for Glider to get a program like it for Vanguard.

Meh, I've gotten to the point where I'm rambling. Opinions?

I agree, but since VG is new it will be awhile before any full bot that compares to glider to come out. Ultrabot will be out soon I hope. Then from there it will expand. Don't expect a VGGlider anytime soon.

I agree, Glider was so easy to work with and it ran great. I really hope there will be some type of "VGGlider" in the future.

The problem with canned bots that are precompiled is that they are easier to catch. Exhume and VGExtreme aren't bots--they're scripting engines that happen to make custom botting easy(among other things).

glider might be nice for a bot but our service already gives you more possibilities than they do.

There are 2 glider type of bots in progress. Keep a watch out for them.

Theres no way to make a bot completely universal AND maximum efficient. To be really efficient youl have to edit the behaviour to fit the character its supposed to control.

Its only a matter of time until someone has written a decent universal bot tho, that has the basics in order. The thing is that its real hard to make a bot that is a "click-and-go" kinda deal. You will allsmot allways need customzation, calibration and editing to make it work properly for your spesific setup.

And therein, lies the FUN of Scripting.......for me.

I can't say configuring and all that is all that fun to me, but optimizing and making the script as lean, mean and efficient definitely is :)
