This has happened a few times to me but its mainly happned in the arena.

It tends to happen when you kill an enemy that another enemy will get stuck on to it. So the idea is, kill an enemy first, kite the other enemy til it gets stuck.

Not 100% sure if it will work with all, but its easier for me because i'm a bard

additional this works in Southwatch too

if you grind the trees for missive task, kill 1 tree and kite another tree into the dead corpse of the first tree - > the living one gets stuck and you can range kill it...

i am too a bard and i can kite a few trees easily and kill them with my bow -> so you get the exp for killing a 3 dot and the exp for the missive task finishing

This also works with my druid.
