I hope that I am posting this in the right place.

I didn't see this one posted anywhere so sorry if this is redundant.

Remove all of your timered buffs, otherwise the mount will disappear when they expire.

Rent the flying mount and activate it.

Find a weak aggressive mob and get aggro.

Stay just above it's reach and keep it aggro'd on you until the timer on your mount expires. When it expires you will still be on your flying mount.

You can now keep your flying mount until you enter combat or an area where a mount would typically disappear.

Healers can heal as from the mount as long as they don't get aggro.

Just wanted to add an update.

If you keep your flying mount and go to a dock master you will teleport with the mount intact. This is very useful for unlocking all of the rift stones on all 3 continents for 20 silver and the time it takes to fly to them all.

Works when you rift as well. Very nice.

The 6/13/07 patch temporarily added a level requirement of lvl 40 to use the mounts.

Although it's supposedly been fixed tonight.
