It seems that it’s not the first time Blizzard emphasizes the game is difficult and deep in blue post. We have no doubt on this point, especially after the inferno level video released. However, there’s one sentence in the blue post worth reading.

“Like they can't beat the last boss for weeks on end challenging”, please note that this sentence has a prefix: normal level. After all, all the current information shows that normal level is just a warm up. A skilled player can finish normal level game at level 30 in 20 hours. However, what’s the new implication of this sentence? What kind of final boss can stop us for weeks? How will the boss act in inferno level? Therefore, we find the initial video of boss fight and make the video on d3guyz.com/?q=node/1530.

According to the information, Siege Beast is an initial small boss of the game. The fight lasts for 2 minutes and is fierce. Death is very common in the fight. The boss can even tear up players. It has many special skills like dash, claw. Even when it dies, Siege Beast can activate the hidden skeleton around. From the level shown in the video, it indeed will take some time or player has enough equipment to fight if only one player encounters the boss.

We are expecting the Boss fight in the final edition. Do not get blinded by the beta.

When they make bosses and send endless armies against them, they wait for the really good teams to come in and fight the boss mobs. They then watch the attacks, watch what the team does to avoid death and dismemberment and then tweak the mob. They did this with WoW, and am sure they do it with D3. One thing to mention is that they put a boss mob with X amount of health, and it's usually super high. They take a timing of how long it takes to get the boss mob's health down, and then as needed, tweak the amount of time to instead be 12 hours expected death of the mob, down to like 45mins-2.5 hours.
