A warning regarding hacking from Adventurine

As this is an exploit site im guessing you all know about the modification of packets as a way of hacking online games, ie find out what what 'packet' is sent when you receive something like gold then try and keep sending that 'packet' to the server in hope of receiving the gold many times over(basically
).
Anyway lots of smart beta testers have been sending "spoofed" packets back to the darkfall servers which have caused some issues for the developers themselves, read below:
--
We have to keep the servers offline for a few more hours, since we have to enable more layers of security checks.
Some(very few) of the testers have been trying to modify the network packets going to the server.
This means that some points in our system have signaled to us that there are errors on the client-server communication. Since we are still in debug mode we have taken down the servers to check if there were any errors on our behalf. This is not the case.
Let this be the final warning to the ones that have tried this:
Anyone who tries to modify packets or the client (basically trying to cheat) will be insta-banned and kicked from the beta.
--
So basically we now know they do get an alert when a badly spoofed packet is sent back to the server --although-- it is hard for them to tell whether it was a server/client error or a spoofed packet.
Anyway if your in beta there is no better time to try hacking a game then while its free so keep at it
