Well, since last patch, it seems that MELEE mobs are now unable to hurt the mounts, which means that most (human sized) melee mobs can now be farmed easily, and quickly from a horse. A good example is the Warthanes of Agon and Niefelheim.

Just mount up, and then back/forward kick and watch the mob melt away, leaving you with its nice loot.

This will probably get fixed soon so be quick to use and abuse!

Is it melee mobs only OR mobs that do range but once you get them to melee only are you then okay to do this and they cannot hit you?

Most mobs that can change between melee/ranged will change even when you are close to them on a mont, but possibly not all of them. you will have to try that for yourself.

Seems fixed as of server restart today. Warthane now hit mounts for damge. Was no patch but they fixed it somehow.

Yay for the couple days it worked, but it is indeed nerfed.

This can be moved to nerfed i guess with 4 Yay's.
