This is not new info per se but this IS new since the patch, as it was fixed in previous DF versions. If you hit someone in the back with buffs or heals they are automatic crits.

Hit a friend with haste in the back for insane dps to mobs. Hit them with buffs for greater gains for purchasing skills or whatever.
