This is a quick guide to obtaining a Pet Chicken as a Alliance Player. Human is the easiest race to get it because they are the closest to it.

--Getting the Chicken--

First loot enough items or money to get 25 copper (easy)
Then create an ingame macro by loading the macro option, select New Macrothen all you need to type in the macro is /chicken.
Put the macro in your quick keys and head over to Westfall.
In Westfall there is a farm called Saldeans Farm, Head over there.
This Farm is a chicken farm, find a nearby chicken and select it, then spam your macro you created untill text appears saying "The Chicken looks at you, maybe you should speak with it". Then click on the chicken and accept its quest. You will have to goto the Farmer outside of the house at Saldeans Farm and buy Special Chicken Feed (25 Copper) once you have the chicken feed find the chicken you used the macro on (They have the Question mark on there head). Before right clicking them and completing the quest, left click them and type /cheer. Now complete the quest and open up the egg it lays and you will have a Happy Pet Chicken. These pets are just like cats or owls etc., they cant attack or have commands, just a little toy. They are only worth 2 Copper to the vendor and the quest can be repeated.

I'm Trying to find a way to get one for horde, no luck yet, but yeah the quest is intresting.

This doesn't work for me. I dont know how. I have the german version and I am on a German server. Is that the problem? I talk much much to te chicken but it doesn't say "The Chicken looks at you..." I am lvl 16. Please give me an answer ^^

Worked for me on US server a day or so after this was posted...and worked for my sis yesterday or the day before.

I hit the chicken macro key a few dozen times(counted to 35 or something), the whole time I am spamming the chicken is still yellow, but when I stopped he turned green after about a second.

It may be the german server, but I have my doubts...maybe you aren't spamming the key fast enough? I couldn't get him to go green when I just clicked every second or so...I had to really put the beat down on the macro key.

I have no clue if this will work on the German Servers. But I just tried it again and I didn't have to spam it fast, just alot until he turns green. Also Are you sure that you have targeted the chicken then spamed the macro?

yes, I clicked on the Chicken and press 1 so fast I can. But the chicken is not green

I take it since you are running on a German server everything is in german? If so then type /(whatever chicken is in german) and see if that works. If you did do that and it didn't work then actually do /chicken. I am afraid I have no other explantion for why it doesn't work.

Yes ok. They who play on the german servers must type /huhn (german word for chicken). Then they must do the same like the others ^^. And they must klick the macro very very fast!

I think now it will work for all ^^
