The WOW leveling curve

Recently, while adventuring in Stranglethorn Vale, I was greeted with the following sentence:
"WoW takes way too long to do anything. It takes forever to level. Getting to 60 is impossible. Diablo 2 was a much better game because you leveled quicker, and they should have made WoW like that." etc, etc.
Needless to say, the response was less than friendly. Many harsh words were thrown at the poor undead priest who shall remain nameless.
Now, it is my opinion that WoW has a very fast leveling curve, at least compared to other MMO's. I believe this is a good thing, because it allows me the feeling of constantly gaining progress, but still making each new level seem like a worth reward and goal to reach.
Discuss.

Hahah, thats like what they do in the official WoW forums. Some persons like "Ganking, discuss" but at least this had a long message. WoW you level really fast and people have done it in less then 2 weeks to 60.

You can also level doing more than PvE. For instance, I have a 19 rogue that I leveled from 10 to 19 in pure PvP. (750 xp / turn in, 3 losses or 1 win per turn in...) Getting about 1,500 hk's or so a day... yea... some would get bored. Not me, I say, backstabbin them crazy horde lowbies beats all the PvE in the world! I thought I would have made knight by now, but the bar is almost there (bastage blizzards and their slow hk's for noobs!) Would be nice to hit Knight-Captain lol
Also, in PvE, you do always feel like your gaining. Even fighting fast kill greens moves your bar *The advantage of having such a long bar) Even for casual gamers, who get rest xp. I leveled my Paladin, priest, and hunter to 60 from 59 in the same week (I'de play 1 character every day, then the next... good rest build up and it doesn't get boring playing same areas with different abilities. Just my two cents ^^

What I love about wow's leveling, is the rested exp. it's nice getting double exp for each hour your gone and you log off in a town or an inn. It almost makes it like you not even away. That is definatly helpful when you hit your 50's. This is also the only game where I've reached the max level cap. Other than Ragnarok Online but that was an ooooooollld game.

gametime means you can log of for 5 months then log in and do a few hours and repeat until you have 48h IN GAME
