Hi guys,

I was just watching some builds (well..alot) and I always see like arcane/frost, fire/arcane, but when I watched the talent calculator, I liked having all in frost

I guess I'm a bit strange, but please say what's wrong about that :?

Arcane is mainly for DPS, fire is for major damage, and frost is mostly for slowing or halting your enemy. You see arcane in almost all builds because the DPS builds off the other spells from fire and frost. When I played a mage I was going arcane/frost but since mages got their review in 1.11 tactics have changed a lot.

DPS stands for Damage Per Second. It means how much average damage you do over one second. Damage is just the average damage you do with each hit.

Say you have a DPS of 50 and you do 75 damage with every hit on average. You don't attack every second obviously. So it's like, at 3 seconds you have the potential to do around 150 damage, but thats saying that you've hit about 2 times in 3 seconds. I don't really know how to explain this so I hope it helps you.

Also, my avatar goes with my ID, Non Vedete. If you translate it from Italian it means "You can not see," or at least I hope it does. My Italian isn't that good, but my girlfriend is learning it and I'm trying to pick up on some things. :)
