A guild I know of sponsored or is sponsoring a 30 gnome run.
30 people playing all level 1 gnomes started and raced to a predefined spot in Horde territory. There was a moderator to make sure there were no speed hacks or predefined hearths. The winner of the race recieves 30G. Unfortunately the horde are informed of this as well.

Anyone else hear of a crazy stunt like this or have a suggestion of one

I like it but why does it have to be gnomes? We rock! And is it on a pvp server or a normal or roleplaying?

You had your own town, Gnomeregan. You couldn't defend it though, no wonder, gnomes are indeed the worst race.

im guessing theres an entry fee? cuz youcould make some bank with that.

Yeah it was a 1G entry fee. so no cost to the guild but no gain either, except in guild rep

This is probably the best novelty idea i have ever heard of, i think that i will try and get one of these going in my guild.

I always thought that a level 60 race from one end of a continent to the other would be good, with epic mounts and all speed gear you could get allowed, but no gryphons, boats or zepplins.

yeah but at 60 you can beat almost anything and you have speed bonus classes. But at level 1 you only have a few spells or attacks. A huge aggro range and easy death. tho you will probably be level 4 in the end just from exploring.
Pluss you have to get outta that damn tunnel in the beggining

Hmmm... We should hold an in-game gnome race!

Edit: should clarify, by this i mean our own race, which is long, awesome, and the reward is some TUBucks (is this possible/allowed? The ask a pro could be used to trade them)

THen the race is to keep ahead of all the people who u just took money off

An easy way to get money off this would be to charge a 1.5g enterance fee and award the same amount.

I remeber long ago someone opened a Wow Casino. Using /roll they would pay out double for 65+ push for 45-64 and take all the money for under that. From what i heard it got shut down after they made alot of money

I wanna do that, I'd make it like 70 to win though

it might have been that i dont know it was well over a year ago on mediv on an old account. I dont know if it was proved to be suspendable or anything but i think the worst you can get a first is a warning since its not against any EULA rules and its not an exploit its just gambling.
Tho i am sure you need a good amount of startup money to be safe
