It has potential because its not done by turbine. AC was a great game then turbine got greedy with AC2 and killed that franchise. With DDO they still didnt realize their mistakes and that is killing them. Mythic might have something this time around. DAOC was thier first game and it had flaws but they learned from that. With WO it has the potential to be a great game.

I agree, just look at their website it doesn't look very professional at all unlike how WoW was during their betas

IMO, the only thing WoW has to has worry about atm is LotRO... and that's just because of the name. If turbine does a good job and doesn't ruin it, it will definetly put a dent in Warcraft's subscription base.
I just dont think any thing else can even compete with World of Warcraft, just because of its name and the fact that it's made by Blizzard... plus the expansion is going to come out soon, which seem like it's going to be oriented towards smaller guilds, thus bringing in even more raiders and casual players.

klemmbob but there was another game with a great name that crashed. DDO remember. That game did great then they pulled the same junk they did in AC2 andkilled it. They are in charge of LOTRO to if you havent noticed. Only game turbine ever did well was AC then for some reason they dont realize that if they want to be profitable make the game fun for players of all types. They tend to think if they make the game dumbed down so any newbie can do anything and there arent players better than others they game will be great.

Turbine is making a huge deal about sticking strictly to the lore in the books... they don't even have an evil race or full fledged PvP because it wouldn't be "lore" appropriate. The game content was all laid out in front of them, all Turbine is doing is putting it together. That's why I have so much hope for this game

Well then it has potential. Just turbined was very stupid in the past on 2 games that could have easily been amazing. AC2 could have been AC1 just on steroids which everyone wanted. As well DDO started off decent then they just went nerf crazy and pulled thier classical stance of just making everything stronger and introducing stronger weapons into the economy.
