Age of Conan: The WoW Killer?

I was reading a new issue of Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) the other day when I came upon a new MMORPG called Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures (AoC). When I read the preview I thought it would just be another game, that had a D and D feel to it. I am not interesed in those kinds of games, but I decided to read further.
To my surprise it looked like a very good game. It was not another WoW copy cat either. It was a WoW like world, with more features, and graphics rivaling Oblivion. The best part of it all: real time fighting, where you control the swing of the sword.
I decided to go to the website to learn more. Again I was shocked to see all of the features in this game. Let me just show you some comparisons:
AoC compared to WoW
1. Races: WoW has 8 and AoC only has 3.
2. Classes: WoW has 9 classes with talents while AoC has 4 arch-types you choose from at level 5 then each arch-type has 3 specializations you go into at level 20, and like talents AoC has feats.
3. Professions: WoW has 12 AoC has 5, however its has some professions like architect which are very cool. the architect has the ability to make buildings.
4. Player/Guild Housing: WoW has neither, AoC has something even better as Guilds will be able to buy land and create cities.
5. Travel: WoW has it all: air, land and sea, including 8 ground mounts, and 3 air mounts AoC has personal ground mounts, but not much else has been released on the subject of transportation.
6. Combat: WoW is click and wait AoC is real time including fighting many foes at once. Also AoC features mounted fighting.
7. Gear: WoW has alot, AoC hasn't realesed much info on this, but they have said there will be different quality of gear, and there will be a variety of gear to choose from.
8. PVP: this is a big one for me. To me it seems that WoW PVP is based around the good for yourself, in the end PVP benefits YOU and you alone. AoC features PVP that forces you to fight with your brothers, and rather than nations fighting, guilds fight over land. This encourages a group PVP. In addition there is PVP currncy like honor points called blood money.
9. Both are very in-depth lore wise. WoW has alot of backround story, and AoC is based on a novel.
Overall I think both games are very well done, and are very good. However I have to declare AoC the winner just because of the real time fighting, and guild CITIES. The graphics are also in a different league. If you want to learn more go to ageofconan.com. If your interested it will be coming out in october 2007 on PC, and then eventually on Xbox 360 with built in voice support.
