I have played a warlock and a hunter. pretty nice leveling.
WELL the other day after hearing about rogues I started one.
Right now he is only level 30.
BUT I have 2 things that are bothering me.

1) as my first chr without a pet I feel that I am just not as strong
as my other classes. Don't know if its damage or armor or just having to go head to head with everything but I don't feel like I can make it to 60 or 70.

2) I was going to go combat sword, everyone said best leveling build. Done the poison quest and things like that but I can't find a decent sword my level for anything. SO I am using daggers, I know its stupid to be combat sword and using daggers >>>LLLOOOOLLLLL ok I know ROFL

Everything on the mele feels like ok next level its going to get easier and faster, just get that new skill and all will be well, but the mobs seem to be just one step out of kick !@#$%^&* for me.

AM I AN IDIOT, an ARTARD or what...is head to head leveling supposed to be as easy as it was with my other toons or what?

ANY help pointers builds or flames are very welcome.

Hunters and locks level the fastest (in my opinion) so dont worry bout it being harder to level, and as for you almost dying, if you have the build i got you can easily kill someone your level and higher. This is my 60 rogues build:

Use cheap shot then backstab, then when you get 5 combo points (easy to do, get them fast with this build) then kidney shot, then two backstabs, then when you get 5 combo points eviscerate and they dead, its nice haha, you dont die and you kill them fairly quickly!

I must say Rogues are great for leveling for me anyways and i have lvl'd a warrior/priest/mage/rogue to lvl.70 but by far i enjoy my rogue the best because alot of quests you can do very easy due to this lovely thing called stealth.

Id say Combat Swords would be a nice build maybe till lvl.50-55ish then may have to switch to assanation with some points in Combat Still for a longer gouge and dodge rating but as soon as your rogue hits 68-70 i really really recommand Subtelry/+3 imp evist+5 Malice in assassination because it come in handy since at this level you will be doing many instances, raids and PvP and you will make use of Imp Sap, Shadow Steo and all the other great things they added for rogues in subtlery spec + also be using daggers in main hand. Im currently using the Epic scryers dagger and some nice +agy +stam +crit gear which is makin me do some nice 3-4k crit ambushs and very nice backstabs.

But at your lvl'n from 30-40 on the classes i tried always seems to be a hard one unless using Joana'z horde leveling guide .

so.. lvls 1-50ish Full Combat + 5 Malice is assination
50-68 asssin + some combat for gouge
68-70 mostly Subtlery spec'd with Daggers which pwn in my opinoun
