Ok lemme give you some insight on what happened. My friend wanted me to try and work on her warrior so i signed on to find her some good gear, well she got on mine. I had asked her to send my char 100g to her char. Well at that time i had some addons that were glitchy so i logged off to turn them off and when i came online i had mail. Which is odd because you dont get instant gold mail from account to another different account. At that time she had 38 gold, i went to check the mail and poof it dissapeared. So we double checked she sent it and she did so i took steps to get ahold of a GM. Now while i was waiting for the GM i was buying gear from the AH. I checked the gold i had and it said 38g, so i went to start buying some cheap armor bought 4 items and 5g a piece. Gathered them up and put them on. Come to realize it didnt take any gold. The char still had 38g, so my frist reaction was when i opened that mail i must have insta looted the mails gold, and it wasnt registering in my bag. So i went to restart wow to see if it had corrected it self and it still said 38g. I went to purchase another item to test and then money started being taken away. I just thought this was odd that after i had opened that glitched mail however it got glitched something happened where money was being taken from me, I regreted relogging. Anyone seen this? Im not here for points or whatever you guys give out. I just thought this was odd. I will test again with her to see if we can duplicate the process when our server gets back online.

FYI gold DOES mail instantly, no matter who it is being sent to.


I'd guess your "buggy addons" were reading your gold amount improperly or were laggy. But check everything and try to reproduce the results.

FYI, as of the lastest patch gold DOES NOT mail instantly between separate accounts anymore.

I can verify thaat Gold does NOT mail instantly anymore, I tried it last week and got worried when it did not some, i called GM, and he told me that as of last patch gold is 1 hr transfer. 9as mentioned above)

um this happened to me off after the patch i got a bunch of free stuff i relogged too when i saw it to see what cash i had left then it stopped and anything i got after relogging i was charged for

what i assume happened was: you got the gold but since you were laggy it only showed as 38, but really you had 138 or w/e the amount she had on her war, so when you bought the items worth 5g it went from 138 to 133, it just didn't show after you kept buying stuff it kept going down and down until it reached (lets say) 40g, then you bought something worth 2g and it caught up with the amount in your bags and you bought something worth (lets say) 10g and it went from 38 to 28, thats what im thinking what happened,

say you went out to farm some gold and looted 2g, it would show in your bags as 40g but really you would have 140g, get what im saying?
