Ranger - How to properly break Mez Shot

This is turning into common practice for rangers but just as a heads up. After you Mez Shot your target, move to start your most damaging combo (generally Salvo). For Salvo, look away from your target THEN hit your Salvo hotkey. Press the bottom left key (salvo 3) and then hit the Up attack then quickly move your view back to to the target as the Up shot is going off. This will cause the actual Salvo combo to break Mez instead of the two initial shots causing massive damage. Also follow that with a Pin Down. If they get close drop a trap and if you do not have a trap switch to your melee and do Impacting Stabs. Hopefully if you feated Clear the Field you would have knocked them down. Now run away and pop a stamina pot and Pin Down or start unloading. I have used this to kill everything including soldier classes. This might be common knowledge to some but not to others.

In summary. Look away from your Mezzed target holding your right mouse button and hit your combo. Shoot off the initial shot and as the last shot is being released move your view back over to the target. The combo will unload breaking the Mez. PRACTICE!

a lot of people "charge up" combos like that
if you're going to explain it, might as well let people know it's effective for all classes...

IE: in group vs group pvp, some caster is freely dpsing on your group, not moving around the field at all because he's 'safe'... you wind up your biggest combo before you target him, then target him on the last hit and you'll probably close to oneshot him, since he wasn't anticipating that much incoming dps right away he'll panic and that's usually a good time for a knockdown.. etc ;p

yes indeed a lot do that but I have been attacked by rangers many times and they break a mez on me with regular shots and thus they end up dying. yes it works for all other classes but it is generally easier with ranger.
