Hey guys,
Im new to using the speedhack in AoC, but i noticed that it speeds up everything in the game including your cast times, I know if someone sees me using this I will get reported and banned.

BUT - If Im say doing my villa quests, and I turn this up will I get noticed? or do I have to stay on a certain speed on the game will pick up on something fishy.

Now please, if you have an opinion on this please write OPINION in your reply. If your speaking from real experience then I would like to know what you think and just put FACT or CLOSE TO FACT in your reply.

opinion -

I have 'heard' that most people get a 7 day ban if they are using a ingame bug to exploit. like a terrain exploit or etc.

I have heard that using a 3rd party bot would be a instant ban..

there is no warden like interface in AOC that we know of, so it goes down to 2 things.

1) someone has to see you doing it

2) they have some sort of checker in place internally that looks for fishy things...

I am going with 3) they dont have in game trackers for that but they may monitor raid bosses or epic instances, etc for game changing exploits.

I have a friend who uses speed hack and pulse runs ( run stop run stop run stop) and he hasn't had any issues...

i have also heard - more opinion - that a GM actually has to teleport to your location / instance

and cloaked or not, has to visually watch you hack or see you exploit to ban you.


opinion - i've tried to report someone to see if my GM ticket went through any faster and I never moved a single nudge in que. I tried a stuck ticket, quest, basically every class, and never have gotten through. so even if a person see's you, they probably won't be able to petition anyway.

I had been on about 20 minutes one night was killing people with some friends.

We had knocked 3 or so people off a horse and killed them about ten minutes later a GM messages me saying I had been reported for Speed Hacking Moving Fast than A Horse.

I kept talking to him in Tells and he kept asking if I had time to talk to him.

He shows up where we are fighting and says in public chat he needs to talk to me.

I talk to him some more in Tells he then says in public chat I had been reported for Speed Hacking Running Faster Than A Horse.

I say in public chat that I had been talking to him in Tells for ten minutes and he was not responding.

He then says in a tell sorry he did not see I was talking to him.

The conversation was strange to say the least it is like he had a pre set list of things to say and what I was saying to him did not matter.

The others in my group attack him and try to kill him, did not work but did knock him down.

So I ask if he observed me speed hacking and he said he had several reports and I told him I highly doubted it.

We had only killed two or three people on a horse so far, I had not been on long and I have NEVER speed hacked so there was no way he had serveral reports.

I also told him out of the three people we had killed on a horse that for me to be reported and not the other three I was fighting with meant it probably came off of his friend list for me getting the killing blow.

So for it to have been multiple people saying this was really doubtful and why was the people I was grouped with not reported.

I wanted to know who said it and if there was more than one, he said he could not tell me.

I told him I wanted something free for wasting my time and not tetlling the truth, he kept going down his list of !@#$%^* to say I kept asking where my free stuff was till he left.

I got a bit mad for the fact I was not doing what he said I was, he did not see I had been talking to him in Tells and he did not respond to most of what I said.

These guys are BADLY trained.

If they have a way to detect speed hacking it seems to me they would only talk to you if they had the detection go off.

I have never speed hacked so there is no way that I could have triggered it.

That's a funny story, i like how you tried to get something off the GM for wasting your time. Those people you were killing or at least one of them probably were in collusion trying to get you banned.

Once in EQ1 I made a char named <something>wolf and someone must have reported me, it was illegal to put together words to make a char name in that game, IE: Killerbear would be considered illegal, I know someone reported me because when i did change the name it was to Pudgywolf Stubbytoes and never saw a GM about that. Anyways, when the GM came to me he told me I had to log off and when I logged back in it would prompt me for a new name, and I kept running away from him and hiding while screaming stuff like, "catch me if you can!" - He kept teleporting me back to him, people were standing around laughing and he eventually just left, when i logged off and in no one obviously checked to see if i changed to a "legal" name. It was funny when it happened, keep in mind this was over 10 years ago, I was 14 and immature but my point is some GM's need to be messed with.


ANYWAYS, BACK TO THE TOPIC OF THIS THREAD

I made a new char the other nite to test CheatEngines Speedhack a little more. For a good 20 minutes at least I flew through the beginning of the game with the speed at all different variables ranging from 1.5 all the way to 30, i was flying.

If i got caught I was going to say "my younger sibling played the account that night and they must have cheated with it, I've changed the password and it'll never happen again, as you can see I've never been accused of anything illegal on my main"

However nothing happened, after 20minutes I stopped messing around with it, but I wanted to see if server side could pick up on it, you would think that would be an easy thing for them to pick up on, just have a program searching for player locations that change too fast. But nothing has happened and it has been 2 days.

So I have been using the speedhack at 3 tops when I feel im alone in a resource zone, and I actually keep it on 1.5 while riding my horse in Tartantia and in any other zone and people running don't seem to notice, another player on a horse might see it, but when im running along side another horse i drop to about 1.2 and if a player asked about a speed hack I'd just tell them my run speed is maxed because even though run speed ability sux it actually does give a small % speed increase on foot and pony.
