This only applies to the Epic mammoth Boss in Atzel's Approach. I haven't tested this in the last 2 patches but it worked find early last week.

Go into the epic version of Atzels' approach, and head over to the mammoths. The epic boss there doesn't attack, he just chases you around. You can solo this boss over and over, and he drops some nice loot. He drops 1 piece of blue and a few junk greens. I got my full ravager set from him as well as a few of my friends. Make sure to pull the boss back towards the kill as there are some wandering elites that will kill you.

Now, here's where this boss gets interesting, and this should work for all similar bosses.

Assuming no one else is in the EPIC version of the instance, you can reset it. You can do do this multiple ways, but the fastest way is as follows.

-Kill the mammoth.
-/Camp
-If you have a party of more than 1 players, make sure to keep track of who logs out last
-Once everyone is logged out, start a timer, 3 minutes.
-Log back in.
Repeat

If you log back in and you don't see him, but you still see your loot, there's 2 reasons. Either you didn't wait long enough or someone else is holding the instance open, which there is nothing you can do about it.

I was doing this forever when the 70 blue set pieces were worth selling on the AH for 1 - 2g. They aren't worth much now, but you can vendor the belts, boots, bracer's and shoulders, everything else is vendor trash.

He drop 8 - 25 silver a kill. Not the fastest gold grind, but you can solo it since he doesn't kill you.

nay - the Epic Mammoth will agro and will kill you.

You don't need to log out to get this mob to respawn. He is on a timer and will respawn with you standing there.

It may have been fixed in the latest patch, but the epic boss never attacked me in either non epic or epic zones. I'll try to test and make sure, but I never had a problem with him, make sure you're only killing the epic boss mammoth and not the other ones.

There was never a way to bug him to make it so he didn't attack, he was always like this, but there is a way that resets him to attack. If you attack him and are killed when he's agro'd on you, either by another player or another mob, he resets and begins to attack the next time you fight him. You have to reset the instance in this case to get him back to normal non attack mode. If someone else attacked him and died, same thing.

As for the respawn timer, his timer is 15 minutes... not 3minutes, so logging out is a must for farming efficiently. In total myself and 3 other guild mates killed this boss either solo or together over 300+ times. in the last few weeks.

so this should be doable by a character around lvl 50?

No i don't think so, didn't they patch it so low level players couldn't hurt things 7 or 8 levels above them? Even if you could, it would take a lvl 50 player forever.
