Go upto a boss and fear him, hit him 2 times then run out of sight and hide. When he resets he will be stuck in fear and you can kill him without him attacking you. This works in Onyx, Kesh, Atzel, well really anywhere a boss can be feared and you can get outta sight.

Having an assassin, I just had a question. Is the skill you are talking about the one in the Corruption tree? I believe it is called Death's Gaze.

I'd be willing to try this out. Does it matter what level you are when you use this?

Yes it is Death's Gaze, I'll also try it out later

OP - Any tips for this? To test it out I went to an easy zone and did this to a boss...I hit him a few times, feared him, then smaked him twice and ran and hid. He reset.

When I went to attack again, he attacked back. Give some tips if possible.

Update - Okay, yeah...0/4 now. I'm loosing faith.

No updates on this? This would be a great find if working.

Pretty sure you broke it by hiding. Hiding takes him out of combat, where as if he evades back he won't.

I am not an Assassin, but try hitting him a few times, fearing and then just running away and not hiding :)

Have had this happen to me several times while farming epic FOD.
Though I am not an Assn, a player that was also farming there was an Assn.
The guy was a jag, and I'm sure he was trying to do an aggro break type exploit (trying to steal my mob) but he was never able pull them away. He would then leave (probably angry because he actually helped me) and the mob would be stuck. Just like OP said.

I then followed him for a while, and sure enough, he was doing just what OP said.

Unfortunately I officially can't yay or nay because I don't have an Assn.

Okay - so you are saying to run away far enough that he doesn't see you/doesn't follow? Instead of hiding? I figured they were the same idea. I'll try it and follow up.

I have done this in the past by mistakes and assumed it was a bug, but what you do is fear your mob, run away out of aggro range and then once fear drops it walks back to its spawn point, follow it before it resets and it wont aggro, which leaves you free to spank it till its dead without fear of aggro.

Well thats what worked for me btw in the giant event in aztels approach.

I tried this out the other night in FotD but kept getting whacked by gold farmers....Stop killing me while I'm testing! =)
