Running into trouble after new patch... : 9Dragons Discussions

(The one on 11/13/07, for clarification. I didn't want to put the date in the title for security reasons.)

Anyway, I logged in and made quick work of finding all the new values for my skills. I didn't run into any problems, except for one little thing -- none of them actually work! Every change I make seems to be strictly cosmetic -- even for the buffs!

I'll admit, I'm a newbie when it comes to hacking, so maybe I'm worrying for nothing. Is it possible that we now need to look for values other than the standard 4-byte numbers (0, 256, 512, etc...)? If so, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Worst case scenario...is it possible that everything is now done server-side? After all, that WAS an unusually long, unannounced "server maintenance."

To answer my own question, yes, it is possible that everything is now done server-side. So much for hacking.

My walking speed and my lightfoot seem to be 'adjustable' at least we still have that.
