speed hacking and changing skill casting times : 9Dragons Discussions

i just posted this info on another forum, figure i'd share here to. this was in response to someone's question on another forum.

float, unknown value. equip speed enhanced gear. search changed value. unequip speed gear. search changed value. use process of elimination. casting times: 4byte value of 2000 if the skill has a 2.0 cast time. search unchanged. then change freeze and change a few dozen addy's at a time from 2000 to 2. on casting times, do not go below 2, you will crash. changing a casting time of 2000 (2 seconds) to 2 makes it 0.0 casting time. if you are looking for a skill that has a 0.5 second casting time, search for 500. i'm not certain but i think finding the bit arrays and changing them around a little will result in boosting a skill that is only Cheng 3 to say Cheng 10. also not sure but i think it could lead to 1 hit kills. i'll take the addy's i've found for the casting time of my Shaolin slow nuke, and windows calculator on hex, and find out what the increments are when i bump the nuke down a Cheng or two. if i can find the increments in hex value for the bit array, it may be possible to successfully one hit kill by making the Cheng go way higher than Cheng 10, which is impossible to legitimately do without memory editing or hacking, as Cheng 10 is highest lvl for a skill. i'm just now coming back to 9dragons, so, we'll see what we can do

ok, my theory proved proper i've managed to bump all my skills and casts on my nuker, that werent already cheng 10, to cheng 10. i've saved them to a ct. i've found something else interesting while looking for the cheng addy for my slow nuke. i found a total of 6 addy's for the slow nuke. i have only messed with one addy though, the addy that controls the cheng. i opened windows calculator, and found that the value of the address increases in increments of 256 every cheng, rather it be stepping down a cheng or stepping up a cheng. i havent messed with the other addresses yet, but i'm hoping one of them will control the minimum damage of a skill or attack of that said skill/attack. i'm gonna compile all the addresses for my shaolin nuker's skills and buffs to a ct, and label each addy. once i have all the addresses sorted out, i will release the ct here. once i have released this ct, DO NOT CHANGE THE SKILLS TO GO PAST CHENG 10. one of the first things i did when i found that address, was change my slow cast nuke to Cheng 79, LMFAO! anything higher than Cheng 10 will result in the attack being 0 damage and you will freeze up in the middle of the cast and have to manually terminate the game client. more news to come as i find stuff or as i get ready to release.
