9DR Guides - Art Of War - Victory in Wars and Parties : 9Dragons Guides, Bots & Tools

This is a philosophical and mental approach to things. It's based somewhat on The Art of War by Sun Tzu, so you might find a few parallels in here. I've used a few of these things and had some extremely effective parties, and hopefully you all can use them in Black and White Wars as well.

Without further ado...

The Art of War: Victory in Black and White War and Parties

1. Treat your soldiers as you would your beloved sons (and daughters) and they will follow you into the deepest valley.

This is first and foremost. You have nine total people in your party, and God knows how many in your army. You're all from different places, speak different languages, and have different time zones. There is one thing you all have in common, however: you came here to kick some butt and have a good time! Be friends or die trying, because unity is strength.

2. Management of many is the same as management of a few. It is a matter of organization.

What organization means is to get your party or army to act not as nine people, but as one person. Even the leader is a cog in the wheels of the machine that is smooth grinding- without others, they fail to turn. That said, get people to do their jobs and do them right. Once again, be nice about it- we're all mature here, and if someone is acting stupid, warn them to cut it out. Or they can find another party.

3. If ten times the enemy's strength, surround them; if five times, attack them; if double, divide them; if equal, be able to fight them; if fewer, be able to evade them; if weaker, be able to avoid them.

I bet you've noticed that monsters like to mob. Well, why can't you? Get your best burly bruisers on one or two or even five monsters at a time, two or three for every baddie, and CRUSH them. Let your nukers toss their energy attacks at them and destroy them where they stand, then move on. The opposite is true- they outnumber you? Run as if the devil himself were on your tail.

4. What is essential in war is victory, not prolonged operations.

This one's simple- be quick about it. The faster you kill, the more EXP/Karma/Blood Count/Loot you earn. This one is especially important in Black and White War, where a decicive strike can mean total pwnage. Move fast, hit hard, win big.

5. Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.

This is another big point- mindset. A lot of people come into a party or war on a bad note from time to time, thinking that they are going to get whomped before it even begins. But if your party or army is FIRED UP? There's no telling what could happen. A bad situation could turn into a rout if you can get them excited!

6. The general who advances without coveting fame and retreats without fearing disgrace, whose only thought is to protect his country and do good service for his sovereign, is the jewel of the kingdom.

Throw your sense of self out of the picture. That's about all there is to it. If you want to be a hero, oftentimes you have to dive in without giving a red cent about winning or losing, just fighting and protecting your side by killing everyone that stands in your path. This kind of clear thinking is rare, but it's necessary, especially in a leader.
