I am going to tell you guys how to max out your steps and meditations in a very short period of time, at a cost of only 1500 gold and 1 piece of clothing with pockets.
you first need to go to hefei and buy an item called a Crane embroiled pouch this costs 1500 gold if i recall properly. it increases your VE regen to 15, and only works while in peace mode.
you need to have a piece of clothing with pockets to equip the sachet.
greater steps/med which has the highest VE drain, is 3 per, = 6 total drain. this is far less than the sachet provides.
To lvl your med/steps, place them on your tool bar and activate them. When activated they will have the "crawling ants" around the border of the icon.
make sure you are in peace mode, so that the crane sachet is working.
you can now just simply leave your computer on in game overnight, or open a stand, and your med/steps will lvl without draining your VE. this can be done indefinitely because your regen is higher than your drain.
your basic clan med/steps should lvl to cap in a few nights. greater will take several nights, about 1 lvl for a few hours. Adv will be comparably slow to greater, perhaps slightly slower.
Because this is done in peace mode, the idea of this is to lvl med/steps up while you are at work/school/sleeping. it requires no keyjamming or macros.
