The Guide
This guide is applicable to all hybrids in all clans, however I there are some clans which are make better hybrids than others, in my opinion.

Clans, which should you be?

Recommended Clans: League of Beggars (LoB), Brotherhood of Thieves (BoT) and Shaolin.

The Beggars have an useful 200HP (once maxed) self-buff. It's not only good for PVE, but also for PVP. Uses gloves.

The Brotherhood have a +50 defense (once maxed) self-buff. As above, useful in both PVE and PVP. Note that Brotherhood members use Axes instead of Gloves, which means you will recieve more External Injuries (requires herbs to heal) while grinding, however you will be able to grind faster thanks to the insane damage the axe provides.

The Shaolin have a +55 attack rating (once maxed) for both melee and chi-kung (magical) attacks. This is very useful for a PVP built hybrid who wants to use the para-nuke as his main offense. Not so useful in PVE though. Uses gloves.

Other Clans:
Sacred Flowers have a +55 dodge self buff (once maxed) which only works for melee dodging. Dodge isn't very useful in PVE, as defense is the main thing in grinding. It could be useful for PVP, but it's simply not good enough to be recommended. Uses daggers, which are a bit stronger than gloves.

Wu-Tang are supposed to have a 0.5 second advantage on casting, this would be very useful in PVP if it wasn't nerfed by the casting animation. Therefore useless in PVP and PVE. No special self-buff to provide advantages. Uses gloves. Not recommended

Heavenly Demon, similarly to the Wu-Tang have a 0.5 casting advantage for all of their nukes, but it does not work for the only useful nuke that we hybrids will use for PVP. No special self-buff to provide advantages either. Uses gloves. Not recommended

Note: I personally chose the League of Beggars for their 200HP Buff which helps in both PVP and PVE. It is equivalent to the Brotherhood's +50 defense buff. However, if you want to PVP more go for Shaolin, as the +55 attack for melee and chi-kung accuracy is great for PVP.

How to build your character

There are five stats in 9Dragons, they are:

Strength = Increases your melee damage and defense.
Essence = Increases your mana pool and partly your chi-kung damage.
Wisdom = Greatly increases your chi-kung damage and chi-kung dodge.
Constitution = Increases your Health.
Dexterity = Increases your melee attack rating (chance to hit) your chance to do critical hits and your melee dodge.

Since we're going to start with a PVE build in order to level up, I will give you the build you're going to need to be the most effective grinder there is.

Character Creation

When you are creating a character, you are given 10 points to distribute. Put them all into Strength in order to kill quickly once you're in the game, you don't need any of the other ones yet.

Note:I suggest you do the tutorial in order to get the training stick, a free weapon that you will use for the beginning levels. If you have another character who has money, or are simply starting over, you may skip it.

Note: REMEMBER TO DO QUESTS!!!

Level 0: Kill some foxes or spiders depending on which clan you've chosen. They should give you around 28% per kill, so you'll level up after four kills.

Losing Self 1-12:
Train at the starting clan area, progressing through monsters so that you are never fighting a monster (will now refer to as mob) that has a dark blue, light blue, orange or red name which will signify their difficulties. Keep fighting mobs which are green-white or yellow, as they provide the most experience/speed ratio. Add 3 strength 1 dexterity per level.

Make your dexterity 14-20 by the end of Losing Self (around LS9). Otherwise pump strength.

Once you get to Losing Self 12 and you max your exp, you will have the chance to perform "Chi Breathing", and easy game that will allow you to pass to the next level (Gathering Chi). Every 12 levels you will have to redo the increasingly difficult minigame (it's still really easy trust me) and you will receive 6 stat points to distribute instead of 4.

Gathering Chi 1-12:
Spend the 6 points you've gotten into Constitution, so that it becomes 14. Continue training on green, white and yellow mobs. By the end of Gathering Chi you should have around 20 Constitution. Keep adding 3 strength 1 dexterity as you level. This levels go by really quickly so I'm not going to make huge leveling guides describing mobs.

Opening Chi 1:
Introduction to your clan bases' services:
So you're finally starting to get into the game, at Opening Chi 1 you're allowed to finally become a true disciple of your chosen clan by performing the quests, and gaining access to the clan's true kung fu skills.

After you've done the quests, you will receive (during the quests) several basic skills, you get to chose from basic clan meditation (much better than the one you learned from that NPC in the beginning!).

There are two ways of acquiring the powerful clan skills, which are bought with not gold, but clan contribution. You recieve clan contribution by performing Road to the Dragon Quests (Clan Quests, yellow signs) or by donating items you get through drops or that you buy. The best way is to donate items, as they're not hard to acquire and you can rack up contribution points quite quickly this way.

After visiting the elder of your clan, you may chose your profession (hybrid of course) and pay a visit to your assigned master at the training grounds (shown in map) inside the clan base.

Once you buy new skills, you can't simply start using them from the start, for melee based skills with the exception being smashes (more on this later) you have to select a training dummy and train your skills (double click training dummies). You will perform a small minigame where you must stop the ball inside the red area by left clicking as it is in the designated area (red part).

For Chi Kung skills you must go to the Chi Kung training grounds and double click one of the tiles there, this mini game is different in the sense that you have to keep the ball inside the red area using your left mouse click to move it left and your right mouse click to move it right, it changes randomly and is about as difficult as the first mini game.

End of Part 2: First few newbie levels/Clan introduction

If I am accepted into the forums, I shall continue this guide, otherwise I would feel like I'm wasting my time, I'm trying to make a very easy to read and explicative guide that I hope you guys enjoy so far. I will provide actual mobs and what equipment to use (with prices) for levels Revolving Chakra (RC) and up. So yay if you want to see the rest!
