Hi,

My guardian so far is godlike. only lvl35 but I love him so far. the armor you get and the shield makes you laugh at other melee classes. however the by godlike I mean I can withstand a beating but it does take a while to kill somebody our DPS is lowwwww

Ranger is very good in PvP right now. I don't recommend macros for combos for melees because they will be moving around so a macro has a high chance of missing a combo on a player. But a Ranger? They are made for macro combo moves and so you can really own with them.

I don't even use the macro apps here, I just use the one that comes with my Nostromo gamepad to setup salvo and then let loose. Many classes go down before they even realize whats happening.

I try not to mess with guardians though as they take too long to kill. They can't kill me because I can get away, but I can't really kill one of them same level either without much work.

I think the classes that are good in solo PvP right now are :

Ranger
ToM (heal+high DPS=dangerous class)
PoM (heal + decent DPS)
Guardian=hard to kill but for them kind of hard to kill because once people get tired they can run away. They are a good class me thinks for people who like to solo on PvP servers and want to be left alone

Quoted for truth. The ranger is pretty over-powered right now in PvP, but like with anything to beat him you really just need to have good tactics.

Don't really look for the current strongest class. Classes are being worked on.

Demo and necro are the classes that FC are working on, as they know they need a buff. Rangers will not receive any buff, either will any other strong class either. Barbarian is stronger than assassin, but assassin is a lot more fun, and challenge to play. I have an 80 assassin, 60 barbarian, and 46 ranger. Assassin is the class I enjoy playing most, why? as there is an challenge, and I pretty much know how to play the class.

Please chose class for the one for most enjoy, for like me, I don't enjoy playing ranger at all. If I have rolled ranger as my first class, and got it up to lvl 80, then I would have rerolled before its 2 late. That's me, as I don't enjoy playing that class.

So i'd say, go for the class you enjoy playing. They will all be balanced for PvP.
