is it neccesary to have, or do they just want you to upgrade?

Vista is for driving Direct X 10 only

Vista is NOT an AoC requirement. Its only if you want to run Dx10 mode. It says games for Windows (tm) but its not a Vista exclusive title. I had some friends whom were convinced of the same thing but I tracked down the info on the forums. XP should run it just fine. =)

To hell with Vista.. maybe in SP4 I'll consider running it

Edit: I passed completely. Even with XP SP2
