Current Bugs: Leghold trap and some roots lasting forever : Age of Conan Discussions

Can someone try to see if there is somethign that triggers this or if it is just random. I dropped a trap on someone because I wanted them to kill me and they just tried to run. I trapped them and they were stuck there for 15 seconds so I was curious, then they started saying how they couldnt move and they were stuck there till I killed him which was a minute later.

It does dont always work with root trap. I have however made it always work with snare shot or what ever that shot is called that we rangers use to snare people.

You can do what ever you like while fighting another PC but after you use your snare shot (or root trap) u have to run away untill you and your oponent are out of combat. If you manage to get away without being attacked and with out attacking until everyone is out of combat the victum will be perma snared. My guildie and I spent an hour testing this but we did not mess with the root bug. Also, if you can manage to stack a back shot snare and a regular snare and then break combat fast enough they will be severely snared. If some one is able to do this to you, you will have to camp it off. One last thing. If a ranger snares fight back before running and you should be ok because he will go out of combat before you. We have a theory that the ranger has to get out of combat last for the bug to take affect but we are not yet sure. I will be sure to do more testing.

I have tried this with a few bosses and the method described above hasn't worked for me.

I got snared by a ranger yesterday and it didn't run out until I zoned...I was literally walking for about a minute before deciding to zone. Yes, I checked that always run was turned on. =)

Yet, I am not sure how this happens or if it is repeatable.

Can members say yay or nay to this so we may give tu bucks and/or premium.

This will only work in pvp. Get a buddy to hit you then snare him and run away fast enough to break combat before the snare wears off. He will be perma snared.

Once the yays start rolling in am I getting the bucks for this since I actually posted how to do it?

My bud and i worked on this some more today and it seems that it no longer works. Maybe my gemcutter bug will get me some bucks
