Solo Gold Making - 1g+ every 5-10mins : Age of Conan Discussions

Location: Catacombs, Tarantia Noble District

Required Level: 66/67++

How it works:

Enter instance, Take first Left, then first Right, then next Right.

There is a Melee Boss. In the same room there are two Explosive Urns.

1. Get aggro from the boss, take him to the first urn,
2. Destroy the first urn, this will take the boss to 25% HP
3. Take him to the second urn,
4. Destroy it, this will kill the boss.
5. Loot the boss - hr drops between 5silver and 15 silver.
6. Leave the instance
7. Invite someone to your group
8. re-enter instance
9. Leave group

(note: steps 7-9 resets the instance)

Rinse/repeat

No worries hehe, id suggest throwing your post in with that topic, just so its there and theres a easy to cut and paste guide to throw in word for those of us who use dual screen heh.

As an assassin both myself (66) and a friend (70) have tried this but for some reason the urn wont kill the trash and they take us down in a storm of arrows in seconds. Any idea what Im doing wrong? I have stabbed it, shot it etc. The trash are left with about 15% hp

that's just how it goes, im afraid.

it says they killed the trash mobs but it doesnt.

if you guys are doing it duo anyways you should use one a decoy to the first bomb, and the other finish boss off.

No we are doing it seperatly, although I just got confirmed that a lvl 77 ranger can do it np, so I can only assume that its lvl based on what damage the urns do as I even followed the ranger in and he said look, shot the urn and killed them all, so in turn I showed him how they dont die for me and he couldnt believe it lol.

I was doing it on a lvl 68 and one urn would not kill him, i had to pull the boss to the second urn by the pole in the middle of the room and set that off which finished him off.

I wish my computer didnt take 30 seconds to zone or i would be doing this with much more efficiently.

if you max ur system cache in memory settings by the third or fourth time you load alot of it would be cached and you could cut it down to probably 10seconds.

To have the urns kill the trash in 1 shot you actually need to be 75 btw, although the boss will still die in 2 urns regardless of 66 or 80 its not really important. But if you wish to live and do this faster I would advise 75.

its not a fault from xzas123 funcom has fixed the boss
before the patch its worked perfekt

/yay ... im surprised this is still here... even if its fixed, its clear people have been taking advantage of it.

I think this got nerfed, the barells sometimes dont dmg the boss and alot of times kill you.

I don't know if I would say this is nerfed, but to my understanding they nerfed it by lowering the bosses silver drop
