xbox controller : Age of Conan Discussions

I have heard of many people using their xbox controller for the game. I know this isn't really a guide/exploit or anything, but I would like to use mine aswell. If anyone has a quide to set this up or can at least help me that would be great!!!!

The way it works is, you assign two buttons to be "Shift" states. I prefer the left and right bumpers. So, if you have the A,X,Y,B buttons mapped to 1,2,3,4....you would hold down the left bumper and that would make A,X,Y,B act as 5,6,7,8. Then, when you hold the right bumper down the buttons change to 9,0,etc...

So, you essentially have three times the amount of buttons on the 360 controller. And the xpadder app actually supports 4 shift states. I never have to put my hands on the keyboard anymore, and I can do everything just as fast - if not faster - than with a keyboard. There are certain games where I would say a keyboard is undoubtedly the only way to go, but AoC is not one of those games.

What I did was just use the control for simple things, but I still use mouse and keyboard for inv, chat, and the number pad for combos...

left analog= move and strife

right analog= face left and right, click for jump

X= left attack Y=top attack B= right attack A=sheath unsheath

right trigger= sprint, left trigger= hide

left bumper= action, right bumper= switch weapon

Dpad= guard directions

start= game menu
