The fastest way is not to separate them all. Say you have the 20 Rough Leather quest.

1) Take the 20 leather, and split them apart, create three stacks of 1, and then one stack of 17.
2) Then place 1 leather in your resource tab, 1 in the guild bank, 1 and the remain 17 in your bank.
3) Take the leather from your guild bank and place it beside the 1 leather in your resource (Don't pile them yet), then take the stack of 1 in your bank, stack it into the one you moved from the guild bank, finally move the entire stack of 17 into the stack you just created.
4) Then to move the last remain piece into the quest pile (the stack of 1 beside the stack of 19 you now have. Move the stack of 1 into your bank, then place it into the stack of 19, done!


You can drop any amount of item into the stack once you do steak 3. Just need 1 in your bag, bank and guild bank. Pull from guild bank first, then your bank and drop the stack in your pack then split whatever the difference is to the amount you need for quest. Say you drop in 90 piece but only need 20. Once you get the quest split them into 2 piles one of 60 then other 20 place the 60 pile into your bank.

NOTE: You need to separate the piles, as when i first did it it took the whole 60 pieces I moved over instead of just 20.

Here is exactly what I did. I am going to tell you the whole trial n error process because I have now done all my quests and cannot test it again:

1. I bought 3 rares leathers from the trader. They were all separated in my resource inventory tab (my backpack).
2. I took each leather one at a time and placed them in my BANK (not guild) in 3 separate stacks then I tried stacked each of the three on top of each other to make one stack with 3 (like how it worked for me before the patch).
3. I then put all 3 back in my backpack and separated them into 3 stacks.
4. I put those 3 stacks back in my bank account separately - i did not combine them.
5. I took each stack (1 leather) and dragged it into my resource tab (backpack) and STACKED each on top of the other. When i got to the third one, it updated the quest.

SO I am assuming, that instead of getting updates from placing items in your BANK and stacking them like before, you know take single items from your bank and stack them in your backpack.

Yes it does.
BTW, you only need 2 resources, not 3.

1. Get 2 of whatever resource you need.

2. Go to the Trader and open your bank (Store and Sell)

3. Open your Resource Tab.

4. Split the 2 resources into separate stacks (1 and 1)

5. Put each stack into your Bank separately (DO NOT STACK THEM)

6. Take one from your Bank and put it into an open spot in your Resource Tab.

7. Take the other one from you Bank and STACK IT ON THE ONE YOU JUST PUT IN YOUR RESOURCE TAB. (you should now have both of them in 1 stack)

8. Split the stack again.

9. Select the one that split off and drop it in your Bank (don't touch the other one)

10. Now pick it back up and drop it on the one in you Resource Tab.

Presto!

P.S. Until someone who has used this posts a Nerf, do not take it upon yourself to say it's nerfed simply because you don't understand.

Who said nerf? I followed his guide to the letter around a dozen times and couldn't get it to work.

After Mondays patch I can't stack items unless they are in the same area already, ie, bank or resource inventory. If I try to drag from bank to a stack in my resource inventory or from resource inventory to bank stack the game gives me an error.

It was nerfed a little.. I had to take the items from the guild bag back to my resource bag.. I couldnt combine them in of the bank
