AoC Tricks - Get a GM to contact you before others waiting : Age of Conan Guides, Bots & Tools

First of all, I would like to say that you probably shouldn't do this more than once, because it's more than likely punishable.

I was looking through some of the .XML files in the AoC program files, and came across one called "actions.xml". So, I opened it up and was reading it. To my surprise, I found several of the GM commands that could be used in game.

I went back in-game. I figured it would be relatively funny if I could use one of them, although I didn't expect I could. The command wasn't anything common, thought FunCom might have been stupid and thought the commands weren't available and were secret.

So, if you type /bccaction in game, you get a message that reads "You are not authorized to use this command, and a report has been sent logging your request to use this command".

Well, my 60 destiny quest has been bugged (I'm level 80 now.), so I thought MAYBE, if I spammed the command, I might get messaged.

After spamming /bccaction for about 5 minutes, I had a GM message me. He said he had been notified that I was spamming the starter GM command. (Normal commands were like "/bccaction_death"). He asked how I knew it. I said it was in the .XML. He laughed, told me not to spam the logs anymore, and asked if he could help me with anything. I told him about my destiny quest and he fixed it for me.

Give it a shot, it's better than spending seven hours in petition queues.

Although it says that a report has been sent, one hasn't.

Oh, and /bccaction isn't a GM code or anything as exciting as that - it was part of the macro system they decided not to use.

Although the /bccaction commands ARE GM commands to a certain extent. It's how they can use pretty much every skill in the game. If you look in the .XML, it says above all of the /bccaction commands <Some>

Look for yourself.

And either way, I had a GM show up.

Hi, new here..first post.

I have a close associate who is a member of the volunteer 'GM' group FoA.

Using any kind of GM only command over and over to get flagged and contacted is punishable by suspension>ban. I confirmed it with him not more than 10 minutes ago.

It works, but if you catch the wrong GM you may regret it. Be careful.

hjdarwa is correct with what he says.

This isn't a GM trick and those type of commands are not flaggable

How do I know?

Here's a clue......

Are you sure? Or are you just trying to prove something?

I'm not trying to start anything at all...but being a follower of asura doesn't prove anything, it just means you get to help people with their petitions. Before FoA, for me, I looked up slash commands for AoC, and started trying all of them, I was getting the 'flagged' message a ton. I got a tell from a GM and they gave me the benefit of the doubt that I wasn't trying anything funny and told me to stop. Then I asked my buddy before my previous post and he told me if you catch a jerk GM or one having an off day, you could get in trouble.

Like I said, I'm not trying to start anything, alt. I just know that being FoA doesn't give you the upper hand for your play account. They know who you are on your play account, and actively watch for things that you may have learned from FoA and then used for an advantage on your play account.
