Repeatable XP - Kill Chief Jotun (Against the Chief Quest) : Age of Conan Guides, Bots & Tools

LVL: 78 comfortably, all the way to 80
XP: 4000 x 20 + 6000xp about 70,0000 - 100,000 xp depending on lvl every 4 minutes.

you know the drill. Outside the frozen halls there is a quest giver at the bottom of the ladder. Obtain the quest "Against the Chief" (i think, I am writing this from memory).

the quest is to go kill Chief Jotun for a nice lvl 75 blue back. the quest does not have a group icon so its assumed its soloable.

After accepting the quest run to the X - waves of lvl 78 mobs spawn that do not despawn for 4 minutes. You can stand pretty far back and pick off groups of 1 - 10, depending on how many you think you can take.

After 4 or 5 waves, you get to kill Chief Jotun who gives you a good 6k XP along with each mob giving between 3500 - 5000 xp (at lvl 79).

Drop the quest as you are killing Jotun and then ride back to the frozen halls to reaquire the quest.

Jotun drops 2 silver, each mob drops 50 copper. about 20 - 30 mobs and a boss.

High chance of tradable blue's dropping from both jotun and the quest mobs.

Since the quests fizzle out at lvl 78ish you are either forced to grind or forced to run groups. this quest can help you lvl to 80 in a 2 hours.


also, I forgot to mention that I was planning on taking screenshots showing the mobs spawning and the boss but after doing it for 2 hours I dinged and got distracted in chat and ended up turning it in! doh!!!

but I can still take photos of the map later, or if someone wants to try it they can snap shots and take some credit for the post

well - noone responded but basically this quest and any quest you do are repeatable as long as you drop it.. so the concept of a quest that spawns 20 mobs + a boss.

I don't really need a yay or etc, I am a premium member and etc.. it's definetally confirmed that it works - just look at any other repeatable quest submission. they are all the same concept. you can either move it to confirmed for others or just leave it here. the title pretty much sums it up... at lvl 78 or 79 sometimes it beats going to kesh to fight for mobs at the raider camps.

So what level do you have to be to take the quest? 75, 78?

the mobs are lvl 78 so you have to be around 75 or 76..

if you start the quest (by running into this doorway) mobs will pop lvl 78 3 or 4 of them, which is overwhelming for people at 75.. you can run backwards across the ice lake and the mobs reset but don't respawn. from there they start a path around the frozen lake and you can just pick them off 1 or 2 at a time.
