Sieging for Dummies : Age of Conan Guides, Bots & Tools

Made by someone i don't know the name of. And on a guild page i dont know the name of. Got it from a mate in a mail... Ask barag for the info.


If you are very close to start sieging and you have quite lots of new players who haven't done sieges so far. So I write small guide for basic things what you should know.



-Sieges are 48 vs 48 max.

-You won the Siege IF: a) You have more points (lots buildings/walls destroyed) b) You destroy Battlekeep (final building behind all walls). You need to met both goals to win or if defending then just need to keep Battlekeep up basicly, but better what more you can save.

-DO NOT! Attack the first line of enemy (Soldiers). There is NO penalty for dying, but there is penalty for being a PUSSY! --> Guild kick. So rush/shoot back line of enemy where are the ToS, Necro, Demo, Ranger, ect. IGNORE the soldiers. You don't actually even need to kill the casters long as they are busy to run away or doing something else than casting their AoE nuke spells.

-Watch out ToS groups (At least some guildsl uses these) where is like 3 lighting totems at one spot --> Insta kill for all melee.

-Sieges are VERY VERY heavy for computers to run. So ALL settings to low and especially particles OFF before start. It is better that you run around with 10-20 FPS than lagging on one spot with 1-5 FPS.

-When defending it is VERY important to NOT open inner OR outer gates NEVER! EVER! But run up to wall and jump down. If gates are opened constantly there is change that enemy sneaks past and do lots of destruction behind us.

-When attacking and siege weapon is planted --> DEFEND IT! Now you can heal the weapon, but after next patch you can't anymore heal them.

-When defending siege weapons need to destroy them SOON AS POSSIBLE! Nothing is more important than destroy those fast.


Our basic tactic (attacking):

Terminators: One damn big and nasty ZERG (1 raid + 1-2 groups) which only purpose is mindlessly push enemy back and destroy much as possible while doing that. This mindless zerg leading is rather easy. Only need to yell in vent "Push Push" (I prefer female voice) or "Gather up at main gate" or "Gather up at inner gate". This is place for all the cool gankers like me.

Kittens: Elite group of your best PvPers which do very strange things behind enemy lines and basically distracts enemy like destroying half of the enemy fortress by them selfs or cybering at top of Battlekeep ect. ect. This team has own Vent channel where they do all those cunning plans and stuff. This group size is 2-3 full groups with good class balance with mostly high DPS & healers. Speaking in vent and good communication skills is crucial if like to be part of this team.
