What is AoC Quick Start?
AoC Quick Start is a little application that will automatically skip the intros displayed by Age of Conan on startup.

Installation:
Simply copy aocqs and aocflt.dll into your Age of Conan directory and use aocqs.exe to start Age of Conan.

How does it work?
AoC Quick Start is based on socalled API hooks. API hooks allow it to modify certain operating system function in a way that makes it possible to filter or change any parameters and return values. AoC Quick Start is hooking the following functions:

Within ConanPatcher.exe: CreateProcessW
Within AgeOfConan.exe: CreateFileW

CreateProcessW is hooked to intercept the game client's start so the filter can be installed on the fly.
CreateFileW is hooked so access to the intro movie files can be denied.

Deinstallation:
Simply delete the aocqs.exe and aocflt.dll files. No temporary files or registry keys are created.

Warnings:
AoC Quick Start was tested using Windows Vista Workstation (x86 & x64) and Windows XP (x86). Allthough AoC Quick Start ran fine on all of these systems I can't guarantee that it is actually working for everyone without problems. If you want to use AoC Quick Start be aware that you are doing this on your own risk. I am not responsible for any damage or bans AoC Quick Start might cause.

On the Plus side, this works. On the minus, it reports as a suspicious file.
