Possible xp glitch : Age of Conan Discussions

I have seen this 3 times in the past day, an XP bug.

I can tell you this.

level 80 apper, assasin
level 69 necro on follow
level 72 conq on follow
level 41 conq on follow
5009 per kill non- elite 80 mobs.

we apped the necro and the apper began killing, xp 2000 ish per kill
something happened- xp drops to 1700
the necro then had 310 def an + 1800 hps as soon as the level 80 left the area we got 5009xp per kill

looking for any information that might lead to a way to reproduce this effect without guessing.

Could fresh kills account for the something happening?

I'll have to give this a try and mess around a bit.
