Yea its safe . But there is always a risk however.

MMO Viper hasn't worked since the 1.05 release.

I've heard they cannot get it to work because FunCom moved player positioning to server side... so no client knows where the other is unless the server gives out that information to the client.

Player positioning is always server side. Most games now days send you information on mob and player positinioning withing a certian radius around your character.

It's impossible for the client to not have access to this information because if the client didn't receive information on player locations it would not know where to draw the graphics for them in order for you to see them in game.

Most likely my guess is the memory addresses got shifted and will have to be updated for it to work again, but thats just my guess.

I am personally wondering if it will be working again any time soon though? I got an email from AoC yesterday for a free 14 day resubscription to try the game out again. I have to use it before July 22nd though, but would like to try out the radar too when I resub to test out if AoC had been made any better or not.

AoC is a lot better than it used to be, dont need Radar to see that

But truth is they still need new endgame raiding content. According to FC it will be their next focus.

Yea AOC i heard has a big expansion coming out. So if that is good maybe there is hope to save AOC afterall.
