Emergency Update to Fix an Exploit... : Age of Conan Discussions

Per Funcom...my question. What is the exploit and why isn't it here?

Or maybe it is here and we'll find out tomorrow which one it is. =)
Emergency Update - 2nd September

The Servers will come down for an important update tomorrow, 2nd September at 9am EDT to fix an exploit. The downtime is scheduled to last about 5 hours.

We felt that the issue is important enough to validate an out of schedule emergency update. Please note that the next big update is planned to be available next week and we prepared a short outlook on what can be expected in this thread.

Must be a big exploit if they are taking down the servers for 5 hours. If the exploit is that gamebreaking why isn't it here?

i heard it had to do with the custom saddle, not really sure what the exploit is though

The thing theyr are calling exploit is that gems give alot of damage and u can have 3 of each in your armor pieces. So atm theyr nerfing the Gems so 9.5+ damage gets to 0.5+ :S so crafted equipment gonna be real useless.

Hm..they've known about the gem exploits forever. I can't imagine they are fixing that now after letting it happen for over a month.
