Introduction:
In Archeage you can capture a variety of different world bosses to be your pet. This means you can have some bad-!@#$%^* looking miniature versions of bosses fight alongside you!

There are a grand total of 6 different weird and wonderful world bosses you can tame.

This guide will teach you all about the different world bosses, their locations, how to capture them and what the bosses can do as your pet.

Taming Nets:
So what’s the first thing you need to know about capturing world bosses? How to capture them.

You’ll need to initially craft either a Legendary or Mythic taming net (Depending on which boss you’re going for)

Legendary Taming Net captures:
  • Windlord (Lilyut Hills + Arcum iris)
  • Farkrag the Wanderer (Gweonid Forest + Falcorth Plains)
Mythic Taming Net Captures:
  • Tarian the Grim (Dewstone Planes)
  • Daruda the Watcher (Solis Headlands)
  • Harrod the Gatekeeper (Villanelle)
  • Flamelord (Solis Headlands)
You craft Taming nets via Leatherwork -> Leather Goods (As shown on the picture below) and anyone can craft a taming net regardless of their proficiency in Leatherwork.

Crafting your net:
The Legendary Taming net requires:
  • 20x Memory Ink (Purchased from General Vendors for a combined total of 2g)
  • 15x Fine Leather (The main expense of crafting nets – That’s roughly 150 x Leather and 15 x Small Seed Oil)
  • 5x Emerald (Found via mining fortuna viens – usually cheap on the AH)
  • 5x Ruby (Found via mining fortuna viens – usually cheap on the AH)
The Mythic Taming net requires:
  • 20x Memory Ink (Purchased from General Vendors for a combined total of 2g)
  • 15x Fine Leather (The main expense of crafting nets – That’s roughly 150 x Leather and 15 x Small Seed Oil)
  • 5x Topaz (Found via mining fortuna viens – usually cheap on the AH)
  • 5x Sapphire (Found via mining fortuna viens – usually cheap on the AH)
Taming Tactics:
When you throw a net onto a world boss you never have a guaranteed chance to actually catch that world boss. It’s estimated that there is about a 25% chance of success when using a net.

The aim of the game when taming is to get the mob to the lowest health possible. To initially use the net the boss needs to be on less than 10% health. Although it’s not confirmed a lot of people believe that you have a higher chance of success the lower the bosses health is. So for safety reasons when you’re trying to tame a world boss you’ll usually want to get it to about 1% before you throw your net on it.

It really is as simple as get the world boss to low health -> throw your net on it -> pray to the RNG gods that you capture the boss.

Legendary Taming

Legendary Taming bosses are much easier in terms of difficulty of the actual boss. They are both level 30 and only have 176k health, so for most people you these can easily be done with a group of under 5 players. The Legendary bosses also have two spawn locations each, one on each continent.

Farkrag the Wonderer
This is Farkrag the Wonderer. He’s a pretty bad-!@#$%^* looking stone golem that can be found in both Gweonid Forest and Falcorth Plains.

Mythic Taming

Mythic bosses are much harder in terms of boss difficulty than Legendary bosses. Most of them however are still pretty easy and defeatable with a group of 5-20+ players. Unlike Legendary bosses, the Mythic bosses only have 1 spawn location.

Flamelord

Flamelord is located right in the middle of Queensridge in Solis Headlands. Being a large fire elemental he is pretty easy to find if he is spawned.

Gatekeeper Harrod
Gatekeeper Harrod is the only level 50 world boss that is tameable, this means that in terms of boss difficulty he is the hardest world boss to tame. His model is that of a Stonewarrior, if you’re interested in seeing the model ingame head to Perinoor Ruins and wonder around the Skyfin nest. They are pretty awesome looking to say the least.

Tarian the Grim
Tarian the Grim is located in Dewstone Planes. He is a gargoyle/dragon type beast and in my opinion the coolest looking of all the world-bosses. By certain ranged specs this bosses can actually be captured solo! If you’re looking for a guide on how to solo this boss, I’d suggest checking out this video:
