Computer freezes with ToA map since last patch : DAOC Discussion

I just wanted to make you aware that since the last patch, when I run XU....and I turn on the USA ToA map in ToA client....my computer hard freezes after a period of time. Seems as though it freezes when start to enter high polygon areas...only an observation though. Without the map on...I can play without the freezes.

Only thing to stop it is to hard boot from machine start button.

Don't know what info you need to verify if it is XU related or not but only happens with the map running.

Have they patched in the past day? If so, then I need to update the DUService.

This is normal after a patch, I'm supprised it worked at all after a patch.

This has been happening since the last patch a couple weeks ago.

Ill have to look into it when I get back on thurs.

Something else I should probably mention for your research. I have been using the compatability to NT mode change that has been suggested.
I dont know if that has any bearing on this. I haven't had a chance to test it since posting this thread. I will try later.

I'll patch it tonight when I get home.
