Range Circle Bug? : DAOC Discussion

For some reason, I tend to "lose" my outer circle when I log off and on. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Here's the details.

Inner circle set for 1500, outer circle set for 5900. Works ok. Profile is saved. I log off, I log back on. For some reason, the outer circle doesnt show up... numbers are the same as when i logged off. So i key in 5850 or some other number, switch to map mode, and wala, the outer circle shows up. I log off, again outer is gone, so I change it back to 5900, etc etc.

I tried several skins and it's doing it every skin. My Windows, ATI graphics card and DX drivers are all up to date.

Is this a bug? or am I doing something wrong? Thanks

I beleive that this bug has been brought up before. Feel free to post this in the RPS forum to have Wyv fix it.

it is a bug austin99. you have to change the outer circle everytime you load up XU (even by just 1) to get it to show currently. no clue if wyv is working on a fix for this atm though :(

Actually, I just click on the text box, backspace, and re-enter the # I deleted. It works then.

Actually you just have to click in the box and hit enter so it can refresh, no need to type anything at all.

Slightly OT, but why would you purposely set your circle to 5900 when ~3500 is your visable range?

This is curious.

There are 2 circle boxes. One works, one has the bug.

I set the working one to my max range then I always have a circle around my max range and can ignore the 2nd bugged circle.

Dmal, the reseaon most of set our otside circle to ~5800 is that is clip range. That is the furthest you can see you enemys depending on conditions. This lets us run to or from our enemys at first notice.
