Let me try to set mine to win2k compatability and see if I can reproduce it.

Can you do the same thing on win2k? Set it to win98 compatibliity?

huh... had to install a dll or something before win2k got a compablilty mode :p
but... still the same problem
(tested in 98 and 95 compability)

also called a friend of mine... running w2k (he's got newest drivers and stuff but gf instead of ati etc)
he seems to have the same problem

anyone running 2k and got xu workin? (maybe post some settings here, pls)


edit: well just updated gfx drivers, dx... nothing

edit#2: one more thing thats not normal... if i got xu running and try to start ultra edit... same happens... ue just flashes up und desappears immedeadly. i close xu... then it starts normal again (i dont have so many apps running, but ssh or smartftp runnin fine... also dungeonsiege or sacred starting (well not the right files triggered but the start) )

Admin is aware that some are having win2k problems.

I am guessing it has to do with the new anti stealth features.


He is aware of the problem and is looking for a fix.

patch from yesterday did NOT work for me, same symtoms like before with w2k

well... i installed a temporarily system of win xp there is everything workin fine, but my first look really doesn't like xp, so its no alternative ;(

anyone got better luck with 2k?

Set your xp desktop to classic, then it looks the same.



Did you uncheck the anti-detection checkbox on the launcher?

well i guess if i invest a day in installing und configuring all programs i need... AND another day in tweaking that xp thing it could be nearly the same. but guess what? i dont like that

right now its slower, 2 window playing is ... uh... feels ... everything feels "blurry" in win xp... no good overall implession to me

yeah, i did just the "small" option run, but tcpip disable und antistealth disable were the first ones i tryed.

so ... again my question: did the new patch work for anyone better than for me?

any news? ist win2k still an issue to work on
is really noone using 2k???
or... is anyone using win2k and its workin fine?

ps.: i dont want to get used to xp... ie 2 toa windows are not playable (in 2k this is fine) etc ...
