I Just got my account back and i was wondering where to hunt for rats. i got a BB and gonna equip it nicelly. Anyways Could anyone Help?

Hey, im sorry to have to announce that CCP have nerfed up the NPC's system and its now almost impossible for lone cruisers to take npcs on. Some spawns are even too much for a lone BS to take on. In the upcomming SHIVA patch, shield tanking will be made difficult also, as CAP POWER RELAYS will effect SHIELD BOOSTER AMOUNT not SHIELD RECHARGE rate which sucks. The other day i was in my bs and got 20 Angel Hunters and 5 scouts on me, almost didnt escape cos of the lag. And they microwarp drive over to you now.

I have a cool spot in Sadye-system at plantet 1. It is a abandoned station that spawn Blood Arch Angels, 30k's and up to about 10 of'em.

I usually can handle them in a Thorax or a moa if u are careful.

If u arrive at the spawn when there hasn't been any there u can find 10 of'em at once, then u really need to be careful, but it work...

can u actuly play a game or is it just this ?????

you must really suck if you can't take on spawns alone in a bs

no there are some REALLY frightening spawns man, these days

I regularly take on spawns of terroists (osprey) cruisers in my caracal, as long as you stay at max range you odnt have any probs, and yeah, if he has trouble with spawns in a bs, he should put some guns on it

well now

we have a major expansion to eve-online

called EXODUS (formaly known as shiva patch)

well.. we have

NPC complexes
Battlecruisers (cruisers with bvattleship attributes)
Destroyers (frigates with cruiser attributes)
POS (Player owned structures) including moon mining and t2 component manufacturing ice harvesting and several other functions with additional anchorable POS's

complexes are a beautiful thing
i have only had the personal experience with 3 4/10 complexes and several rogue drone infestations (these drones give neat crystals and compounds that can be refined into mins)

each complex consists of multiple tiers (2 to 3 maybe more)

you can also blow up structures (the make REALLY nice booms)

each tier gets progressively harder, the first tier you can usually take solo if you have a good ship and fitting.. but for the second tier.. it gets a bit hairy

i am currently working on compiling a list of complexes and the spawns within them

i've not made it past the 2nd tier of a 4/10 complex yet.. but we found a 5/10 that had 8 BS in the tier 2 stage containing at least one 3.5mil bs... needless to say.. i didn't even venture there

how can i get me a bs fastest possible???

Titans are due for Release this year no idea when they will be out.

Okay I need to know a Tank setup for a Raven please....do I tank the shields or the armour especially since the caps now seem to reduce the shield strength in some way shape or form...n e help would be much appreciated....

My Raven npc hunting setup:

High slots : 6 Named siege launchers. (I use arbalests, but theyre stupidly expensive, so you can use Malkuths or Limos), and 2 Heavy Nos, preferably named. If you use normal sieges thats ok, but you wont be able to use your other 2 high slots effectively as you run out of cpu. Also remember the type of torpedo you use depends on the rats you are killing.

Medium slots: 1 c5-l XL Shield booster, shield boost amp, cap recharger II, and 3 shield hardeners. (The type you fit depends on the rats youre killing, for example, guristas, fit 2 kinetic and 1 thermal).

Low Slots: 5 Power diagnostic II

This is a very expensive setup I know, but worth every penny! In this setup, I can take any lvl 4 mission easily on my own, and I even managed to clear the first 2 levels of the lvl 10 complex too.

Not going against Sniver....well yeah I am. Shield boosters and hardners are much much higher in cpu and power usage than armor hardners and repairers.

Use your shields as a buffer and outfit with armor hardners/repairers. You'll be able to outfit with higher power consumption turrets/launchers and or tracking mods.


For BS battling, target painters are a must. I double up with target painters and drop my effective range from 40km to 5km. Deadly in a Raven.


And the fastest way into a BS has more to do with your skill progression than your money. Corps and missions will net you plenty of money if you play right in the amount of time it takes you to train your Battleship skills along with the accompanying skills for large turrets/launchers. If you play solo, I'd recomend sticking to missions and work your way up to a cruiser for lvl 2 and 3, then you should be fairly close to getting enough for a bs just off of mission earnings. Do those missions!
