How do I make instas : EVE Online General Discussions

Can someone please tell me how to make instas?

fly the path you want to make insta like at gate...
go strate 15K past gate and make bookmark
now from point a to point b will get you next to gate and can jump

Insta's are really usefull for more than just gate travel.


Insta-dock = BM a location either very near the center of a station to have an Instant ability to dock. somestations are harder to Insta dock than most.

Safepoint = VERY VERY usefull in low Sec. space. You see a pirate(NPC and PC) enter the same space you can jump to that location to greatly improve your chances of survival. You make safe points by draining your CAP and making an incomplete warp. BM that location and its literally your own little haven. (untill someone with scan probes shows up)

Insta-Hualing = simpling just making BM that places 12KM inbetween the BM and the can/miner and lines up with the station of your choice.

Hell you can even BM a region and sell it for 14Million ISK on escrew.

one thing i am confused on is for the gate instas.. for example if u warp to gate form station and got 15km beyond gate from that and bm that.... well that would be good but only if you warp from that same station or direction.... so my ? is, is that do you need to make multiple bm's for different places? or what would you do?

Fly 15km over the top of the gate/station then bookmark. Usually from any warp from any direction you can dock/activate gate regardless as soon as you come out of warp.

To address your safepoint comment, this is incorrect you do not need to drain your cap.

Simply open people & places > places tab, go into warp tords some random thing ( planet//belt//whatever ) and while in warp ( maby halfway through or w/e ) hit the bookmark button in the places tab and it will bring up a window with a name thing and all that and hit ok and your safespot is made.

You can also make double-layer or triple-layer instas. They're even harder to track with a scanner.

While in warp to some random stellar object (planets are good), drop a bookmark halfway through. Then, from that bookmarked location, warp to another stellar object and drop a second bookmark. There you have a bookmarked location that is nowhere on any normal warp path in a system.
