I'm not 100% sure on this but every time I've done it it has worked, but might just be getting lucky.

If you can catch someone in between the docked to undocked and convo them, their eve client hangs. If they are a target, they sit in space unable to run or fight back.

Timing is key though, if you are docked you can see right when their session change starts ( their portrait disapears from the station guests but they are not in space yet )

i say nay

just because i a very old and known way of creating lag and doing lame pvp ... it works on undocking, at gate jumping (whe they try to escape) and so on ... it just creates lag and if you'r undocking you see black screen for a while (ok the time to be podded).

also GMs uses to refound the ship lost in such this way.

It's also very simple to avoid: if you are undocking and see black screen for more than 30sec. (the time you are invulnerable) you can just quit the client, your lagging ship will just warp away and when you relog you'll find you and your ship in a ss.

i'd say that's just common sense and lame tactic ... no exploit, no bug at all.

You just said it does create lag, and makes them unable to do anything due to the black screen without restarting their client. Then you said its no bug ;) how is it not a bug if you just said that it DOES work, and yes it is lame, but thats the point. And if they do log out and quit client for the time they are invulnerable, which is more like 10-15 sec btw, then when they log back in they will be forced to warp back to the location( not exact ) of where they were when they logged.

Just because its lame doesnt mean its not an exploitable bug.
