Avoid the 40% Broker fee between Quenos and Freeport : EverQuest 2 General Discussions

You can buy items from the other city through the fence, but he charges 40% markup.

An easy way to avoid this is is to sell your items for 1 copper and then be VERY quick to buy in the other city. I have successfully transfered several hundred items between cities this way without loss.

Certain Items have the same buy and sell price if you wish to transfer funds between Cities (merchant sold Artisan Books were one item, before the sell back nerf)

If your are looking to skill up, the limiting factor (after time) is the size of your market. Two Merchants will let you raise artisan level faster then 1.

Even though I'm totally based in Quenos, I have 2 plat in sales in Freeport now.
